COVID-19 Testing

COVID Testing Information:

GIHC continues to follow all Ministry of Health protocol to keep our patients and staff safe. We are going above and beyond in testing our patients having procedures involving upper endoscopy scopes.

• we will continue to request COVID testing prior to procedures (within 5 days of the procedure with the expectation of self isolating as best as possible)
• please be mindful of different turnaround times for different testing sites. Halton region can produce results usually in 48 hours. Joseph Brant can produce results in 4 days.
• you will be required to book via telephone or online advising of pre procedure COVID testing requested by a physician.

Results are to be forwarded prior to procedure. If we do not have results back by the day of your procedure, please contact our office and speak to staff directly as each case will be assessed on an individual basis by the endoscopist.
